Atha Hashman
Atha M. Hashman, 98, resident of Barnesville died Tuesday evening, January 14, 1986 at her home. Born Oct. 5, 1887 in Monroe County, she was a duaghter of the late Vincent and Mary Gilmore Carpenter.
She was a member of the First Christian Church, Barnesville.
Her husband, Scott Hashman died in 1945; also a gaughter and a son.
Surviving are a son, Fred Hashman of Barnesville; a sister, Mrs. Victor Long, Bailey's Mills; several grandchildren; great-grandchildren ann great-great-grandchildren.
Services were held Friday at 11 a.m. from the Campbell-Plumly Funeral Home with Rev. William Worcester officiating. Burial was made in Crestview Cemetery.
W.S. Hashman, Retired Coal Miner, Dies
Winfield Scott Hashman, a retired coal miner, passed away Thursday, June 14, at his home on Highland Avenue. His death bereaves his wife, Atha, 3 children, Mrs. George Lucas of Barnesville R. D., Ervan of Barnesville, and Fred, somewhere in the South Pacific, and 1 sister, Miss Caroline Hashman of Barnesville.
Mr. Hashman was a native of Monroe County. He was the son of John and Mary Parsons Hashman, and was born August 1, 1877. As a young man he came to this commuinity where he spent the remainder of his life. He had been in failing health for 2 years, and seriously ill since last December.
Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at half past three from the Campbell Funeral Home. They were conducted by Evangelist Halley N. Smith, and interment was made at Crestview.
